In college, it can seem like there are a lot of people who you should get gifts for. You’ve made a ton of new friends, and you have like six roommates, not to mention the people on your hall. However, you’re also broke. If that sounds like you this is the perfect gift guide, full of cheap but thoughtful gifts for your roommates and other college friends.

The secret to getting gifts for a lot of friends for cheap is to buy items in bulk. This way you save money, and you don’t have to come up with an individual present for everyone. You can even keep a few on hand for people who give you a gift you didn’t expect, like that overly nice girl down the hall. If you have any leftover after Christmas, these are all items you’d be happy to keep for yourself anyway! Here are some of my favorite Christmas gift items that conveniently come in bulk packages.

Chapstick: This chapstick pack is perfect for gifting. It includes 12 tubes of fun holiday flavors that everyone will love. Add the chapstick to another item or two for a bigger gift, or just wrap it cute and give it alone. Everyone loves chapstick and could use some more in the winter months.

Fuzzy Socks: This set of fuzzy socks includes 7 pairs in pastel colors, so you can give everyone her favorite color. Fuzzy socks are the perfect cheap Christmas gift because everyone needs more warm socks in the cold weather.

Mugs: The theme here seems to be winter items, and honestly, that’s because they make the perfect small but useful gift. This set of mugs includes various cute shades of blue. If you’re feeling crafty, you can get white mugs (for cheaper!) and decorate them yourself.

Fancy Hot Chocolate: These hot chocolate mixes are from Ghirardelli, a famous chocolate company, so you know they’re good. Break open the box and put a packet in a mug, or package a couple packets in some cute wrapping and call it good.

Bath Bombs: Bath bombs are super popular, and almost everyone loves a good relaxing bath. Bath bombs are great for people who don’t have a ton of space to store things, or who are minimalists and don’t want a lot of physical items, because they are more of an experience than an item you hang onto. However, it might not be a good idea to get all of your roommates bath bombs if you don’t have a bathtub.

Candles: These little candles are perfect for a dorm room. This four pack comes in a variety of scents, you don’t have to give exactly the same gift to every person. These candles come in elegant packaging, so even if you aren’t allowed to light candles, your roommates will love this small gift.

Nail Polish: You have to be careful when giving nail polish as gifts, because unless they are known for liking bright colors, giving someone a bright green or orange nail polish will come off as thoughtless. Luckily, this set includes neutral shades that anyone would like. Give all of your roommates a bottle of nail polish, and then watch a Christmas movie and paint each other’s nails for a bonding experience and gift all in one.

Notebooks: Everyone always can find a use for a notebook in college. These mini notebooks are perfect for purses for notes on the go, and they come in cute designs your friends will love! To make the gift more personal, write a note to your friend in the front page for them to discover later.

Mini Stockings: This is pretty cheesy, but mini stockings are a cute and easy Christmas gift. You can even hang them somewhere in your apartment for your roommates for a cute touch. Fill them up with the nail polish or chapstick we’ve talked about, or just stuff them with candy, such as these candy cane Kisses.

Do you get your roommates gifts for Christmas? If so, what are you getting them this year? What’s the best gift you’ve ever gotten from a roommate?
